Advertiser Partnerships Lead (Growth & Sales)
United States, Remote
Wellput.io, the newsletter sponsorship platform, makes newsletter sponsorships perform for advertisers. We connect advertisers to a network of premium newsletters to test targeted newsletter sponsorships, identify what works, and optimize to achieve their performance goals.
We close nearly 50% of the advertisers we speak with. Our product works. The challenge? We need more conversations. We are looking for someone to own a hybrid approach to driving advertiser demand from first touch through 10-12 qualified meetings per month.
We do very little outbound today. When we attend events, we use the event app to reach out to prospects about scheduling a meeting. When we see relevant brands sponsoring other newsletters, we'll reach out. Most of our effort today is behind a hybrid content/outreach strategy.
We produce original content on LinkedIn (3x per week under my profile) and engage with others' content. We reach out to people engaging with our and other people's content that's relevant to topics like newsletter sponsorships, affiliate marketing, performance marketing, etc.
Within the first 90 days, you will be expected to:
Set up 2-3 qualified meetings per week. A qualified meeting is with a marketer who is already familiar with newsletter sponsorships and has at least a $5k/month budget available to test.
Own the production calendar for the Newsletter Sponsorship Insider and the CEO’s LinkedIn presence, with the goal of consistent growth in newsletter subscribers and LinkedIn followers.
Automate portions of the outreach on LinkedIn and Email.
How will you spend your time? Driving new advertiser pipeline volume by:
50%: Identifying ICP prospects, crafting personalized outreach via email, LinkedIn, X, Slack groups, and industry event apps, targeting a run-rate of 2-3 qualified meetings per week within your first 90 days.
20%: Coordinate marketing content production, including publishing the Newsletter Sponsorship Insider weekly, and 3x/week LinkedIn posts for the CEO.
10%: Coordinate attendance and meetings at 5-10 industry events per year.
10%: Submit articles and speaking proposals to industry events, publications, and podcasts, targeting 1-2 published per month.
10%: Researching ways to improve your efficiency and generate more qualified meetings, including automation, AI tools, new markets, etc.
What does our tech stack consist of?
Our business is built on Airtable.
We use HubSpot for pipeline management.
We use Asana for task management.
Slack for internal communication.
Beehiiv and Kit for newsletter production.
Fyxer.AI and Fathom for AI tools.
Notion and Google Docs for document management.
Compensation
We’ll pay a monthly retainer of $3.5k, plus a $300 commission for every qualified meeting you set up.
